Boarding

Wilds Lodge School offers a well structured, term time boarding experience from Monday to Friday, providing a nurturing and supportive environment for boys aged 7 to 19 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

The school operates across three sites, with each site having dedicated boarding houses designed to cater to different age groups and needs, ensuring age appropriate care and support. Each boarding site has shared facilities such as a kitchen, lounge area, bathrooms, and bedrooms, with some single-occupancy rooms available based on need.

Our boarding provision is more than a place to stay — it’s a nurturing community that helps learners build lasting relationships, benefit from a serene location, and engage with an enriching environment. With us, learners are empowered to reach their full potential, supported by the relationships, location and environment that make Wilds Lodge truly unique.

Living Spaces

Children develop age-appropriate independence skills, making their beds and having personal hygiene routines and a healthy sleep routine. One child has developed their independence skills and confidence to enable them to travel home on their own, and others have been able to gain work experience and have part-time jobs. This is significant progress, providing children with increased responsibilities and new experiences, which in turn increases their self-esteem and confidence.

Because I am here, I have made progress. I swear and fight less, and (more likely) to walk away. I use these things at home too.
