Safeguarding & eSafety

Wilds Lodge is proud to hold the ‘Leaders in Safeguarding’ Quality Mark and is one of very few schools to have achieved this accreditation and renewal.

Our school is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all students, staff, and visitors. We recognise the importance of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in our care and are dedicated to implementing policies and practices that protect them from harm. Our safeguarding measures include rigorous background checks for all staff and regular training on child protection issues. We believe that every child has the right to learn in a secure and supportive setting, and we actively work to identify and respond to any concerns of abuse or neglect. Our designated safeguarding lead is always available to discuss any safeguarding concerns, ensuring that our school remains a place where students can flourish both academically and personally, free from fear or harm.

Wilds Lodge School adopts a proactive approach when it comes to promoting eSafety. Every child completes an e-Safety module in their ICT lessons and will have a further eSafety input in PSHE lessons and assemblies during Internet Safety Week. We also have a number of eSafety posters up in the ICT room that provide helpful advice to children.  Support from the Care Team also promote these messages in the evening.

Children are encouraged to come forward if they see anything on the internet that is suspicious, if they are a victim of cyber bullying or if they have a question about using the internet. Within school, all internet usage is filtered and monitored in accordance with relevant safeguarding policies.
